Our main objective and the center of all changes is you to be the protagonist at all times; so, from the City Council, we have created mechanisms fully designed for you, in order to know your opinion and to encourage your participation in the processes and transformations that are taking place in your city, as this will help us to progress, improve our services and adapt them to your needs. We want Santander to be a more participative city.  

To this end, we will develop a new plan for Citizen Participation, which will improve and make it easier for you to participate in the decisions taking place in your city. We will make available to you the Citizen Participation Portal, a web site where your participation will be effective and real, as well as convenient and simple. 

Through this portal, you will be able to access new features that were not previously available.

You can not only vote for ideas or proposals for the city, but also participate and collaborate in municipal decisions, proposing debates, voting surveys and consultations, evaluating public projects, sending opinions and suggestions, etc., and you can even decide where to spend part of the municipal money, which is dedicated to participatory budgets. All this, at any time and in any place, through the Citizen Participation Portal. 

It is very important for your City Council to know what your opinions and suggestions are. We are committed to listen to you and you can send us your ideas through different channels that we put at your disposal, such as the Citizen Participation Portal, through the Santander City App, or even through the so called technological corners, where you can connect to the public WIFI network and access it.   

In addition, we will distribute satisfaction panels throughout the city; interactive screens, with a simple survey, where you can anonymously evaluate the actions we are carrying out in Santander and thus we can know the level of satisfaction of the people of Santander. 

Your opinion is essential for the City Council, because thanks to it we can improve our services, so we encourage you to participate in the portal, create debates, write comments, value proposals, create municipal spending projects, etc.. In short, we want you to think and propose with initiative, from your neighborhood and thinking of Santander and Santander citizens. Let's make Santander a place that is "close and yours".
