As you already know, the City Council is going to implement a new incident management tool, so that you can send us any requests through different channels. Communication with citizens will be more agile and fluid, what will enable us to save time and improve coordination of the incident resolution process.

These new channels through which you can report incidents to us will be the Santander City mobile app, the Citizen Attention Service, the municipal websites or the screens located in the interactive corners. You just have to choose the way you prefer at any moment. Later on, we will explain in detail how you can report incidents to us through each of these channels.

In this post we will focus on how you will be able to report them with the Santander City App, where you can connect with us and send us your suggestions and requests by following a simple process. Do you want to know how? Read on.

A simple process for a big change in your participation in the city

When you need to report an incident you find while walking down the street and you do not have another channel of communication with the City Council (or you simply prefer to report it through the mobile application), the first thing you must do is access the Santander City App, which you must have previously downloaded.

If you have not already done so, you will have to enter your username and password; your municipal identification codes for Santander's services.

Once inside, you will have to look for the "Incidents" section and access it. Here you will see that you have two options, in two different sections:

-To know the incidents that other citizens have previously reported, their descriptions, the status of the resolution process in which each one is and you will even be able to comment and rate this process. It will be also possible to know how far each incident is from you and know the comments and evaluations that citizens have been providing for each one of them.

-The option to create a new incident to be sent to the City Council.

To report a new incident you simply have to access the "Create incident" section, choose the category of the incident, i.e. if it has to be with parks and gardens, public roads, containers, etc., and place it on the map. You can also provide images of the incident.

This information will be sent directly to the City Council thanks to the new incident management tool, through which we will be able to coordinate the municipal technical teams to solve it as soon as possible.

Likewise, once the problem has been solved, the workers will send you an image of the final result that you will receive via the Santander City App.

In addition, in the "Incidences" section of the App, you will also be able to view and find out about City Council warnings such as works in the city, traffic cuts in a street, etc.

For the City Council it is very important that you participate in your city as this will help us to improve our municipal services and to be able to adapt our actions to your needs. We are committed to listening to you and providing a quality and transparent response to your demands and needs. That is why we have created this new method of communicating incidents, which will make it easier for you to connect with us. So we encourage you to use these simple ways to communicate with us whenever you need to.
