We already have the first prototype of the large screens that will be installed in the technological corners, one of the tools through which we want to bring the administration and municipal services closer to you.  

We want you to be the protagonist of all this change and to do so, we are going to put all the necessary technology within your reach so that you can connect with your city, with your Town Hall, and keep up to date with all these improvements.  

One of these tools are the interactive corners, urban spaces made up of interactive screens, rest areas with public WIFI and screens with games for children, which will be distributed around Santander. Thanks to these interactive corners, you will be able to access a wide variety of services and information, adapted for both citizens and tourists of the city.     

The manufacture of the first model of these interactive screens was recently completed, large dark-coloured screens that can be found in different areas of the city, and through which you can carry out simple municipal procedures and access the Citizen's Advice Service that the City Council will make available to you. To do this, you simply need to identify yourself with your Citizen Card. You can also use these screens to top up your card if you use the prepaid mode.

You will also be able to access useful information about your city, such as checking whether a public building is open or closed, information about the weather or the tides, check the availability of bicycles in a specific place, buy tickets for events or museums, and even find out how many people are occupying certain buildings and sites in Santander in real time, which is extremely important nowadays. We want you to feel safe at all times. 

If you are a tourist or are coming to spend a few days in the city, the interactive screens will give you access to a wide range of useful information for your trip and to plan your routes, such as: accessing places of interest in Santander, calculating how long it takes to get from one point to another, finding out about the cultural agenda, events and concerts in the city and buying tickets, seeing which restaurants you can eat in or which hotels you can stay in, etc.  

You can also find all this information in both Spanish and English, so that language is not a problem when planning your holidays and accessing the services that Santander has to offer. 

The screens of the interactive corners will be made of a material that will provide them with significant resistance to adverse weather conditions, such as rain, low temperatures or strong winds, preventing rust. The aim is to make them durable over the years, minimising their maintenance and restoration as much as possible, both in the cover of its structure, the glass of the screen itself, and in the rest of the elements such as the card reader.  

Based on this model, 15 interactive corners will be installed in various places in Santander, where in 3 of them, in addition to screens and rest areas with WIFI, you can find interactive educational games adapted to children.
